Thermetrics external breathing system connects to the manikin with hoses for inhaling and humidified and temperature controlled exhaling. A manifold installed behind the manikin face allows for breathing through the nose or mouth in any combination:
- Inhalation through the mouth and out through the mouth
- Inhalation through the nose and out through the nose
- Inhalation through the mouth and out through the nose
- Inhalation through the nose and out through the mouth
